Distributors demand Nagarjuna settle losses

Nagarjuna is feeling the heat after the debacle of “Manmadhudu 2” from the distributors. The 60-year-old actor made a huge mistake of acting in a romantic film that is filled with double meaning dialogues, sex jokes, and liberal kiss scenes.

In real life, Nagarjuna has two grown-up sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil who are also acting in films. He also has a daughter-in-law Samantha who is a popular actress. Forgetting his age and his image, he has done this film which backfired.

The film was a huge dud and all the distributors are losing 50 percent on their investment.

The film’s total collections so far: Rs 10.40 Cr
Pre-release business: Rs 20 Cr
Total loss: Rs 9.50 Cr

“Manmadhudu 2” that hit the screens on August 9 will not add any theatrical revenue further. Its total run has come to an end. The movie’s distributors are demanding Nagarjuna to give them some amount to minimize the losses. Nagarjuna is worried about this. If he doesn’t adjust some money to the distributors, he will be getting a further bad name.

Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the film is a remake of a French romantic drama “I Do”. Rakul played Nagarjuna’s lover. Keerthy Suresh, Samantha, and Akshara Gowda had appeared in cameo characters.

Nagarjuna has delivered many flops in the past but he never repaid money to the buyers as they were bought for reasonable prices. This time the distributors are losing heavily. Hence they are demanding Nagarjuna. This is a new headache for him. Nagarjuna is one of the richest movie celebrities in India with huge net worth and assets.
