Shruti Haasan has confirmed that she is no longer part of the cast of Pawan Kalyan’s comeback movie “Vakeel Saab”, the Telugu remake of Bollywood hit “Pink”. The ‘Gabbar Singh’ actress admitted that she was approached for the film but she may not be doing this remake. She has not elaborated much on not doing this given the situation that her career is not good shape.
If she pairs up with Pawan Kalyan, this would have given a shot in the arm for her career. Plus, she shares a good equation with the Powerstar having worked with him in “Gabbar Singh” and “Katamarayudu”.
“Vakeel Saab” is not going to be the scene-to-scene remake of “Pink”. Pawan Kalyan is essaying the role that was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the Hindi version. The Bollywood movie didn’t have a romantic pair for the veteran actor Bachchan. But the Telugu version will have a duet for Pawan Kalyan and some romantic scenes to appease his fans.
Producer Dil Raju had thought that Shruti and Pawan Kalyan’s combination would be an asset during promotions as they are hit combination of ‘Gabbar Singh’.
“Vakeel Saab” is directed by Venu Sriram who earlier helmed Nani’s “MCA”. The film’s regular shooting has been halted due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Shruti Haasan, however, has not given a full explanation for not grabbing this offer. She is currently acting opposite Ravi Teja in “Krack”, a cop drama being directed by ‘Balupu’ fame Gopichand Malineni.
